Appeal after suspected stolen medicine found in van

We are appealing for information after finding a number of codeine bottles in the back of a van in East Staffordshire.

Just after 3pm yesterday (16 August), a white Peugeot Bipper van failed to stop for officers and was later found abandoned in a car park on Town Meadows Way, Uttoxeter.

We found a large amount of codeine bottles inside the van which we believe may have been stolen from a pharmacy in the surrounding area.
