Missing person update

Officers from Staffordshire Police have called off the search for missing person Adam Shaw.
Sadly, the body of a man was found in woodland near to Hawksmoor, on Tuesday 11 October.
Although formal identification has not yet been finalised, his family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
We would like to thank colleagues, partner agencies and the public for their assistance and support during the search.
At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and a report is being completed for HM Coroner.
Update 19 October 2022
Following interim report to HM Coroner, we can now confirm that the body discovered in woodland near to Hawksmoor on Tuesday 11th October 2022 is 41-year-old Adam Shaw from Weston Coyney, Stoke-on-Trent.
His family have been informed and officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. A full report will be submitted to HM Coroner in due course.
