Detectives continue to investigate after a man was injured in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers responded to reports of a firearm being discharged on Etruria Vale Road, at approximately 1am yesterday morning (Tuesday 4 October).
A man, in his 30s, was shot and received non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital and has been discharged.
The 40-year-old man, who was arrested in the early hours of yesterday, has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A number of searches, together with CCTV and door-to-door enquiries, will take place today (Wednesday 5 October).
Officers are carrying out extra patrols in the area.
Detectives are particularly interested in any CCTV, dashcam or smart doorbell footage in and around Etruria Vale Road; specifically focused more to the top of the bank and towards the roundabout near Snow Hill at approximately 1am.
