A man has appeared in court charged with driving offences after a man died in a collision in the Staffordshire Moorlands area earlier this year.
We were called at 2.15am on Thursday 24 February to Buttermilk Hill in Hollington following reports of a traffic-related incident.
Sadly, 32-year-old Thomas Henry Kent was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.
William Carney, aged 24, of Alton Road in Threapwood, appeared before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 10 November.
He pleaded not guilty to two charges: failure to stop at the scene of a road incident and failure to report a road incident.
He was granted unconditional bail ahead of a trial due to commence on 15 May 2023.
