A man has been arrested after a shop worker was threatened with a knife and a basket of items was stolen in Tunstall.
We were called to High Street just after 8pm on Tuesday (8 November).
The victim, a man in his 20s, reported two men entering the store with one of the men pulling out a knife when challenged to pay for a basket of women’s beauty products.
The suspects then left the scene on a white Carrera cycle.
The victim was left shaken but unhurt.
We attended and located one of the suspects as well as the stolen goods.
A 29-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
He remains in police custody while we continue to work to locate the second suspect.
