Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision investigation Unit are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Meir Heath.
The incident took place at around midnight on Sunday 22 May on Grindley Lane.
A 22-year-old man from the Blythe Bridge area was found at the roadside with serious head injuries alongside his electric assisted bike.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.
The circumstances of what happened are still being investigated and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or may have seen the man and the black and white sprayed bike prior to the collision.
Anyone with any information or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 001 of 22 May or email [email protected]
