Officers are appealing for information after a dog was killed in a non-stop collision in Tamworth last week.
Police were called shortly before 3pm on Thursday (12 May) to the A5 in Fazeley.
A woman reported her daughter had been walking two pet miniature dachshunds when she crossed the road at the pelican crossing near Two Gates.
A car drove through a red light and collided with the dogs, killing one of them - four-year-old Sausage (pictured).
The girl was left distressed but unhurt.
Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time of the collision and urge anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
