Officer are investigating after a man was seriously assaulted in Burton.
Police were called by colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service at 6.15pm last night (Friday 11 March) to reports a man had been found unconscious on James Street.
The man was taken to Queens Hospital in Burton with head injuries.
A man seen heading towards Uxbridge Street, believed to be the offender, was wearing a grey and black hoodie with black sleeves, a black hood, a grey back and large white writing on the front with dark-coloured trousers and trainers.
Anyone with any information, CCTV or dashcam footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 639 of 11 March, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
