Stafford Borough local policing team (LPT) has welcomed a new Deputy Commander.
Inspector Tim Norbury, has 13 years’ experience within Staffordshire Police and has taken up the role after a varied career across several different departments including working in response policing, neighbourhood policing and vulnerability.
Tim is also a public order commander for the force.
Speaking of his new role, Tim said: “I’m looking forward to getting out there in our communities, getting to know local people and working with partners to tackle the real issues that matter most in our neighbourhood.
“I was born in Stafford, went to school here and still live locally, so Stafford, Stone and their communities really matter to me. I can’t wait to work with the fantastic team of officers and staff, who are all committed to making a real difference.”
He added: “Neighbourhood policing is versatile and varied, and my role will involve pro-active problem-solving. I’m really looking forward to the new challenge.”
