A man has been charged with drug offences after officers found cannabis and cash worth £70,000 in a property in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Police stopped the man on St George’s Road at around 2pm on Wednesday (27 July).
A quantity of class B drugs and a mobile phone were seized.
A further search of an address in Newcastle revealed cannabis vegetation worth £23,000 and £48,000 in cash.
Theo Rodwell, aged 22, of Whitfield Avenue, Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possession of criminal property.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow (Friday 29 July).
