Officers are re-appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a seven-year-old girl on Wednesday (5 January).
At 4.55pm, police were called to Pinfold Avenue, Norton, after a silver Hyundai had collided with a pedestrian.
The girl was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to hospital – where she remains in stable condition.
Police are keen to trace the driver of a five-door Vauxhall Astra which was seen in the area – around 4.50pm - and may have evidence to offer the investigation team.
PC Rich Darby, investigating officer of Staffordshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would ask anyone who was driving a Vauxhall Astra – along Pinfold Avenue from St Nicholas Avenue towards Pound Gardens – to contact us on 01785234094, or email us directly at [email protected], as they may have witness evidence that will assist the investigation.“
