Officers from Stoke-on-Trent neighbourhood policing teams (NPTs) are preparing to answer residents’ questions in an online community engagement event as part of national Neighbourhood Policing Week.
The event, which takes place on Thursday 20 January from 6pm to 8pm, will see Neighbourhood Inspector Scott McGrath, along with local authority and fire service partners, address the concerns of those who live, work and visit Stoke-on-Trent.
Questions can be submitted in advance via https://app.sli.do/event/kVuAEWuRjmsXVMGcYZ2g5X/live/questions with officers and partners responding to queries in real-time on the night.
Inspector McGrath, of Stoke South NPT, said: “I would welcome any input from local people and encourage anyone who wishes to talk to us or our partners over issues that are affecting them to get in touch with us on 20 January and take the opportunity to share your views.”
The event comes as part of the force’s week of action, which runs from Monday 17 January, and will see NPTs increase patrols, carry out proactive crime prevention activity and engage with their communities, as the organisation looks to confirm its new police operating model, including a focus on enhanced local policing, in the coming weeks.
