Police are appealing for information after two pallets of nitrous oxide cannisters, worth £11,000, were stolen from a lorry.
Officers were called to Stafford Services on the M6 northbound at around 1.20am this morning (Friday 18 February) following reports of vehicle crime.
According to a witness, the offenders were seen loading the cannisters into the back of a white Ford Transit van, which was found abandoned in the Trentham area.
It is also reported the van was driven in convoy with a blue Ford Focus.
The Ford Focus was last seen heading southbound on the A500 at around 1.40am.
If anyone has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage that could help the police with their inquiries, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 022 of 18 February.
