Police are appealing for information after around £2,000 in cash was stolen from a restaurant in Fenton.
Officers were called to Subway, Victoria Road, Fenton following reports of a burglary.
It is believed the incident took place overnight between Saturday (5 February) and the morning of Sunday (6 February) where the offender (s) gained entry to the restaurant through the roof.
It is also reported around £2,000 in cash was stolen from a safe, around £100 was taken from the cash till, the freezer door was left open, and the alarm system and CCTV cameras were damaged.
Anyone with information that could help the police with their inquiries, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 216 of 6 February.
