We are appealing for information after we recovered a stolen Fiesta in Rugeley.
Patrolling officers spotted the car in the Lichfield area at 11.05pm on Monday 28 November. The driver failed to stop and was followed.
The car travelled until it eventually stopped on Stoneywell Lane in Rugeley. Two men who were wearing tracksuits got out and ran away through nearby fields.
We ran the car through some checks and found out it had been stolen from the Tamworth area. It was also displaying false plates.
The owner of the car was updated and recovery was arranged at the scene.
Officers are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the car at the time. We are particularly interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage of the area which may have captured the car being driven.
It was a blue Ford Fiesta and travelled from Lichfield and Rugeley between 11:00pm and 11:10pm.
