A man has been jailed for drug offences after officers seized class A drugs from a property in Stoke-on-Trent.
Haris Mahmood, 18, of Wren View, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday (23 August) to 15 months in jail having pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs – crack cocaine and heroin and possession with intent to supply class A drugs – cocaine and heroin.
Mahmood has also been ordered to pay a surcharge of £34.
The court heard how officers attended an address off North Street, Stoke-on-Trent, at 4.25pm on 19 May 2022.
On arrival, officers found suspected class A drugs inside a toaster oven, cling film wraps and sealed foil bags.
The class A drugs were seized by officers as was cash and a mobile phone.
PC Ian Prendergast, of the Stoke South Local Policing Team, said: “Mahmood was intent on circulating these harmful drugs within our communities and has been dealt with accordingly.
“We will continue to investigate the supply and circulation of illegal drugs within our county and bring those responsible to justice.”
