Police are appealing for information after two mobile phones and a small quantity of cash were stolen from a property.
Officers were called to an address off New Inn Lane, Stoke-on-Trent, just after 5.20am on Tuesday (30 August).
The victim, a man in his 80s, reported being threatened and knocked to the floor by a man.
The victim was not injured but left shaken following the incident.
The offender is described as a Asian man, 5ft 7ins in height, in his mid-to-late-20s, and was seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket.
Two mobiles phones and cash were reported as stolen.
