A man has pleaded guilty after two teenage boys were injured in Stoke-on-Trent last year.
Kacy John Daniel Flynn, 24, of Great Oak Road, Bignall End, admitted two counts of possess a shotgun with intent to endanger life and three counts of Section 18 – wounding with intent ahead of his scheduled trial which was due to begin at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court last week.
Police were called at 10.05pm on Wednesday 27 October 2021 following the incident near to garages on Borrowdale Road, near Spragg House Lane, Norton.
Two 13-year-old boys received injuries consistent with the discharge of a shotgun. They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were discharged the next day.
Detective Inspector Andy Curran, of CID North, said: “This was a truly shocking incident, particularly due to the age of the two victims.
“Thankfully, the boys did not receive fatal or serious injuries as a result of this attack.
“This kind of incident is rare in Staffordshire and I’d like to thank the community for information that was provided to the investigation team.”
Flynn is due to be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on a date to be set.
