Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Stoke-on-Trent.
Police were called to Gravelly Bank, just off Sandon Road, at 12 noon this (Friday 8 April) following a single-vehicle collision involving a yellow Nissan Juke.
Despite the efforts of medical staff from the air ambulance, the driver, a man in his 70s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Witnesses who may have seen the vehicle before the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage please message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 316 of April. Alternatively, email the team direct at [email protected]
