Officers have released CCTV stills of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault that took place in Hanley on Sunday (5 September).
Police were called at 5.20am to Stafford Street in the town and found two unconscious men at the scene.
A 23-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, who was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent yesterday has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Officers are appealing for anyone who recognises the man pictured to get in touch.
