Officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Tamworth.
The incident reportedly happened at around 2.15pm on September 8 at Tamworth Road, Amington, near a shop called Dank Juice.
The victim, a 51-year-old man, its believed was picking up litter and then attacked from behind. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
The attacker is described as a white man, in his mid-30s, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of a slim build and had an English accent. He was seen running off towards Amington Gardens.
A 37-year-old man was arrested a short time after the incident. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquires.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Tamworth Road area at around 2.15pm.
