Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a man sadly lost his life in a collision in Kingsley Moor this morning (Sunday 19 September).
Police were called to the A52 Leek Road near to Blakely Farm Kennels at 12.45am, following a single-vehicle collision involving a grey Land Rover.
A passenger in the car, a local man aged 35, suffered serious injuries and, despite the efforts of medical staff, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family are being supported by specially-trained officers at this time.
The driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to hospital with back injuries.
A further passenger, a 20-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with back injuries.
Both continue to receive treatment for their injuries at this time.
Witnesses who may have seen the vehicle before the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 41 of 19 September or call 101. Alternatively, email the team direct at [email protected]
