Two boys injured in an incident in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent last night have been released from hospital.
We are appealing for information after the boys, both aged 13, received injuries consistent with the discharge of a shotgun in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, last night (Wednesday 27 October).
Police were called at 10.05pm following the incident near to garages on Borrowdale Road, near Spragg House Lane.
Both boys were taken to hospital with none life-threatening injuries but have since been discharged.
Work is ongoing to understand the circumstances of the incident and the type of weapon used.
Patrols have been increased to provide reassurance and we welcome any support and information the public can provide.
A forensic examination of the scene is taking place.
Detective Superintendent Tom Chisholm, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are at the scene gathering evidence and would urge anyone with information or who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as they may have vital information.”
He asked for people who live in the area to check their CCTV, or if they were driving in that area at around 10pm last night to check their dashcam footage.
