A man has been charged after a man was seriously assaulted in Burton.
Police were called at 5am yesterday morning (Wednesday 17 November) to reports of an assault at a property on Grange Street.
The victim was taken to Queens Hospital in Burton with a head injury. His condition is described as stable.
David Stuart Watson, 64, of Grange Street, Burton, has been charged with Section 18 - wounding with intent and threats to kill.
He appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today and was remanded into custody.
