A 17-year-old boy from Tamworth has been jailed for 12 months for drugs and weapons offences.
The boy was sentenced to a 12-month Detention and Training Order at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday 28 October.
He has been charged with possession of a bladed article on two counts and possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.
Officers acted on intelligence and searched a property in Tamworth on Wednesday 29 September. A large amount of cannabis, cocaine, scales, cash and three knives were found. The boy was searched and police found further knives, cannabis, cocaine, £3,000 in cash and two mobile phones. The estimated street value of the drugs is believed to be around £4,000.
