The family of a woman who died in Burton earlier this year have paid tribute to ‘a lovely sister’.
Angela Winter, 56, of Burton, who has been formally identified, was found deceased at approximately 4am on 2 July at an area close to Meadowside Leisure Centre, known locally as the Washlands.
Angela’s family have released a statement:
“Angela was a lovely sister who will be sadly missed by all of her family.
“We are hopeful that in the near future, we will learn more about what led up to her passing.”
They continue to be supported by specially-trained officers and they ask for their privacy to be respected at this tragic time.
A 53-year-old man, from Burton, arrested in connection with Angela’s death, remains on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 75 of 2 July, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
