Detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed in Burton.
Police were called at 6.25pm last night (Sunday 21 November) to reports of a stabbing in Market Place.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his chest and back. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 5ft 10 and 6ft, with a short Afro hairstyle. He was wearing a black hoody, black trousers and black shoes.
Detective Inspector Pete Goodwin, from CID, said: “Detectives are working tirelessly to establish exactly what happened and who is responsible.
“I’m appealing for anyone with information or who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as they may have vital information.
“Extra officers will be in the area to offer reassurance.”
