Officers are appealing for information following reports of a burglary on Newton Road, Winshill, Burton-upon-Trent.
It is believed the incident took place between Thursday 25 and Sunday 28 November, and the offenders gained entry to the residential property by breaking a window.
Various items were taken including gold jewellery, a collection of old coins, a pair of sovereign cufflinks, a thick gold chain with a sovereign inlaid and a half-sovereign earring with clasp backs.
A unique, brown crocodile skin suitcase is also missing from the address, which can be easily identified by a small repaired patch.
Anyone with any information or relevant CCTV footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident number 338 of 28 November, or call 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
