Officers are appealing for information after a man and a 17-year-old girl were assaulted in Tamworth.
Police were called at 5.12am on Sunday 31 October to George Street.
The victims reported that a man with crutches had approached them, hit the 24-year-old male victim with a crutch and shouted a homophobic slur.
The girl then reported being assaulted by the same offender who hit her with a crutch, causing significant facial bruising.
Officers have obtained a CCTV still image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Anyone who recognises this man or who has any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 199 of 31 October.
Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
