Officers are appealing for information over a stabbing that occurred in Newcastle-under-Lyme yesterday (Monday 3 May) evening.
Officers attended the scene at the underpass near Sainsbury’s on Enderley Street after being informed of the incident by West Midlands Ambulance Service at about 7.50pm.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, reported an unknown person running up behind them, when he received a one-inch wound to his back.
Anyone with any information, or who may have been in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious, should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 531 of 3 May, email investigating officer DC David Stubbs of Staffordshire Police’s Northern CID unit on [email protected], or alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
