Police officers in Stoke North have successfully obtained a closure order for a problem property in Northwood today (May 27).
The property in Mount Street, Northwood, is to remain closed for three months, with anybody caught remaining on or entering the property liable to a fine or imprisonment. The occupier will need to find alternative accommodation.
PCSO Michelle Chadwick, officer for Birches Head, Central Forest Park and Joiners Square, said: “Residents have been complained to us as well as the local authority about anti-social behaviour taking place both outside and within the property, and drug-related activity.
“We are pleased with the court’s decision, and wish to remind residents we will pro-actively seek to do all we can to protect them from any criminal or anti-social activity taking place on their streets.”
