Officers are appealing for witnesses following disorder in Audley on Friday evening.
Police were called just after 10pm to reports of a group of teenage boys involved in an altercation on Church Street.
Three teenage boys were injured – a 15-year-old received a broken nose, a 16-year-old with superficial injuries and a 16-year-old who received a small puncture wound to his shin.
The two 16-year-olds were taken to hospital but were discharged the same evening.
A 20-year-old man, from Newcastle, was arrested but he has been released no further action.
