UPDATE: Woman is second person arrested on suspicion of murder in Burton

Officers have arrested a second person on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found at an address in Burton yesterday afternoon (2 March).

Investigations have continued and have led officers to arrest a woman, aged 44, from Burton.

It follows the earlier arrest of a 39-year-old man from Burton on suspicion of murder.

The man and woman both remain in custody. The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as is routine following earlier police contact.
