Detectives from Staffordshire Police have called off the search for missing person Liam Sherratt, who was last seen in Stoke-on-Trent on 4 June.
Sadly, the body of a man, believed to be 30-year-old Liam, was recovered in Park Hall yesterday afternoon (Thursday 17 June).
Detective Inspector Peter Cooke, of CID North, said: “Liam’s family have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this very difficult time. They are being supported by specially trained police officers.”
Formal identification will take place in due course.
Detectives will continue to carry out enquiries and carry out a report on behalf of HM Coroner.
