Detectives investigating after a man was injured with a machete in Mile Oak have arrested two men.
Police were called by West Midlands Ambulance Service at 3.35pm on Friday afternoon (22 January) to reports that a man had been attacked with a machete on Sutton Road in Mile Oak.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious leg injuries where he remains in a stable condition.
A 46-year-old man, from Tamworth, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 19-year-old man, also from Tamworth, has been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in custody.
