A 38-year-old man who sustained a serious head injury in an assault in Stone has been discharged from hospital.
The man was discovered on Redwood Avenue in Stone at about 7.30pm on Tuesday (5 January).
He was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital by ambulance where he was said to be in a critical condition.
He was then discharged on Wednesday (6 January).
A 43-year-old man from Stafford, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.
