Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the M6 this morning.
Police were called at 1am this morning (Saturday 23 January) to reports of a two-vehicle collision close to junction 11a southbound.
The collision involved a red MG MG3 and a white DAF Trucks HGV.
Sadly, a woman, the driver of the MG, died at the scene. The driver of the HGV was not injured.
Specialist officers are supporting the woman’s family.
Witnesses who may have seen the vehicles before the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 33 of 23 January or call 101.
