An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after he was stopped and searched by officers in Tamworth.
Police stopped the man at about 11.50am on Monday (22 February) on the canal towpath on the B5000 Glascote Road in Glascote.
Following a search, heroin and crack cocaine worth about £1,250 were found along with a quantity of cannabis, a lock knife and a quantity of cash.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of a bladed article.
He appeared before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday (23 February) and was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing due on 26 March.
