The Cannock Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has been boosted with the introduction of a new inspector.
Christopher Moss moved from his previous NPT, Stoke South, to join the Cannock team this week. He will be working alongside Cannock NPT commander, Chief Inspector Victoria Downing.
Chris has enjoyed a variety of different roles in the force over his 15-year career, including neighbourhood policing and custody work.
Inspector Chris Moss said: "I worked as a sergeant in both Stoke South and Stoke North NPTs, where I helped to bring together the council, local officers, special constables, road policing, air support and other partners in delivering effective local policing.
“I helped to improve problem-solving methods using police software and sharing best practice between teams. We were able to work together on crime trends - such as nuisance bikes in Stoke-on-Trent – and apprehend those responsible.
“This operation eventually expanded to cover the entire Stoke and Newcastle policing area, which resulted in a great deal of positive publicity and improved public confidence on a localised scale.
He continued: "I am proud of my work within the Stoke-on-Trent team but I now look forward to working closely with partners in Cannock to address community concerns and reduce crime.”
