Officers are appealing for information following reports of a road traffic collision at around 10.45pm on December 8 on the A34 Walsall Road, Great Wyrley.
It is reported a blue Kia Sportage and a moped were involved in the collision.
The driver of the moped received minor injuries and was left shaken after the collision.
It is believed the driver of the blue Kia stopped before driving off.
Anyone who witnessed the collision and has any information, is asked to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident number 699 of December 8, or call 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
