Detectives are investigating after a woman and a teenage girl were injured in a house fire in Stoke-on-Trent last night (Thursday 17 December).
Officers were called to Beverley Drive, Bentilee, at approximately 10.55pm.
A 31-year-old woman and 13-year-old girl received serious injuries and were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and Birmingham Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Bryan, of CID North, said: “Detectives are carrying out enquiries following the fire in Bentilee last night.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known and enquiries are ongoing to establish if it was started deliberately.
“If anyone has any information, CCTV, Smart doorbell or dashcam footage, please get in touch”
