Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) are appealing for information following a serious collision on Turnhurst Road, Packmoor, yesterday (Thursday 23 December).
Police were called at 1.36pm and found two vehicles – a white Range Rover and a white Citroen Picasso - in a head-on-collision.
A white Vauxhall Vivaro van also sustained minor damage to a wing-mirror.
Two men, one in his 70s and one in his 60s, were conveyed to hospital by the ambulance service.
The driver of the Citroen, the man in his 60s, sustained serious injuries.
Officers contacted Highways in order to clear debris from the road.
Inquires are continuing.
