Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A500 southbound.
At approximately 12:35am on Tuesday (28 December), a purple Ford Fiesta collided with a pedestrian whilst travelling near the Talke roundabout.
The pedestrian - a 64-year-old man - was seriously injured and was treated by paramedics at the scene. Sadly, he passed away in hospital later that day.
His family are being supported by specialist officers at this time.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone that may have been in the area at the time and seen the man - either on the carriageway or on the surrounding roads. Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident 022 of 28 December, call 101 or e-mail [email protected]
