Police are appealing for information after a number of reports of stolen vehicles in Stoke-on-Trent.
The appeal comes following seven, similar incidents in the past week – with vehicles targeted within the northern part of the city.
The incidents – which were reported to Staffordshire Police between Thursday 8 April and Saturday 10 April – involved Ford Fiesta and Ford Ecosport cars being targeted in Burslem, Chell, Chell Heath, Bradeley and Smallthorne
All targeted vehicles were keyless and have since been recovered by officers.
A 16-year-old boy from Sandwell has been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle. He has since been released under investigation.
Temporary Sergeant Chris McCarthy from Staffordshire Police said: “We’re urging all vehicle owners to take extra care when parking up but especially those with similar, keyless cars.
“We’re asking people to take the necessary security measures to ensure their cars are protected, such as parking in lighted areas or in sight of CCTV.
