A 74-year-old from Tamworth has been jailed for 16 years after being found guilty of multiple sex offences.
John Rombach, also known as Tony, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court today (15 April) after being found guilty on 1 April of 13 counts of non-recent sex offences.
Rombach, of Furness, Glascote, was found guilty of rape, nine counts of indecent assault, and three further serious sex offences.
The court heard the offences took place between the late 1980s and 2014.
Detective Constable Jo Morrison, of Staffordshire Police said: “It took great courage for the victim to come forward and give evidence allowing us to bring Rombach before the courts.
“We will always do whatever it takes to bring offenders to justice, while ensuring victims and their families are offered the support they need.”
Anyone who has suffered sexual abuse, or suspects others may be subject to sexual abuse, is urged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101.
