Officers have charged a man and woman after an incident where a man suffered knife wounds in Orme Road, Newcastle (April 25).
Katherine Beckham, 26, of Albemarle Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, is charged with wounding with intent, kidnap, possessing a blade and driving dangerously and failing to stop in Newcastle on 25 April.
Henry Parkhurst, aged 23, of Hurst Drive, Stretton, Derbyshire, is charged with wounding with intent, kidnap, possessing an offensive weapon and criminal damage to property under £5,000.
They will appear before magistrates in Newcastle today.
