Appeal for witnesses following serious collision on the A500

Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A500 yesterday afternoon.
Police were called just after 3pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A500 at Hanford.
The collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a black Vauxhall Corsa.
A 76-year-old woman, the driver of the Corsa, received neck and leg injuries. She was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
