Detectives are re-appealing for witnesses following a serious assault at the Noah’s Ark pub in Hartshill a week ago.
Police were called at 11.20pm last Friday night (28 August) to reports of disorder outside the pub.
A 41-year-old man, from Newcastle, suffered serious head injuries at around 11.15pm and remains in hospital.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was at the Noah’s Ark pub or passing the location last Friday night who may have witnessed the incident.
A 30-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
