A Walsall man has been jailed for 18 months for stealing two cars in Rugeley and Hednesford.
Matthew Bickley, aged 40, of Essex Street, pleaded guilty to stealing a Mitsubishi Pajero in Armitage Road, Rugeley, on 11 December last year, and a Ford Fiesta in Queen Street, Hednesford, on 26 July.
He also admitted attempting to steal a Ford Focus in Hawthorn Road, Wheaton Aston, on 15 December last year.
He was sentenced to a total of 18 months at Stafford Crown Court on 21 September.
Detective Sergeant Richard Dancey, of Staffordshire Police, said: “We are working hard to tackle vehicle crime and bring offenders before the courts.”
Operation Disrupt is currently running across Staffordshire and focusing on tackling criminal behaviour. Officers have made 77 arrests in the first week.
