Arrest made after girl suffers injuries in Chell

We were called to reports of a young girl suffering injuries at an address in Warren Road, Chell at around 7.30am this morning (26 October).

A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident. She is being treated in hospital.
The girl is also being treated for her injuries in hospital.

Detective Inspector Lucy Maskew, of Staffordshire Police, said: “We are investigating the circumstances to establish what has happened, but want to reassure the community this is believed to be an isolated incident.”
“We understand there will be concerns but we are kindly urging people not to speculate while the investigation continues.”
